    • I didn’t make the strawberry santa’s, a very crafty mom at Eloise’s school did. I did make the meringue’s, and after making literally hundreds this year, I finally have it down pat! Three egg whites, dash of salt, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, 1tbs vanilla and 2cups powdered sugar. beat egg whites, salt, COT, vanilla til soft peaks form, add sugar, spoonful at a time (sounds tedious, but essential) pipe onto parchement lined pan, bake at 225 for 1.5 hours, turn off oven and let cool down another hour or so. I also sprinkled crushed candycane on these before popping them in the oven. They are time-consuming, but tree nut, peanut, dairy and gluten free which is great for kids with allergies!
